Sustainability

At Vision Built, we are not just constructing buildings; we’re building a legacy.

A legacy of sustainable practices, innovative solutions, and a commitment to making sustainable building solutions accessible and affordable. Our ambition is to lead in the industry, with the sustainable management of our operations throughout their entire life cycle, whilst upholding our core vision in delivering excellence. We know we can only achieve this in partnership with our stakeholders by understanding their needs and working with them on innovative solutions.

Sustainability Roadmap

Our 2024 to 2030 Sustainability Roadmap sets out our actions and commitments to developing and most sustainable building solutions for our clients and customers.

Carbon Reduction Plan

Carbon reporting and reduction is key to our Sustainability Roadmap, targets in place to achieve Net Zero by 2030.  Our carbon data is audited annually through the Achilles Carbon Reduce scheme.  Performance is reported through annual Carbon Reduction Plans.

Health & Safety

At Vision Built, health and safety is central to how we design, manufacture and deliver every project. It is embedded in our culture, led from the top and applied across our factories and construction sites. Our approach is proactive and preventative – focused on planning, competence and safer ways of working to protect our people, partners and communities.

Using Modern Methods of Construction, much of our work is carried out in a controlled factory environment, reducing risk at source. This limits high-risk site activities like working at height and manual handling, while improving quality and consistency. Where site work is required, it is carefully planned and managed through detailed RAMS and strong supervision.

We invest in training to build a highly competent workforce, combining practical and virtual learning to prepare teams before work begins. Digital tools such as M-Site support consistent inductions, communication and safety management across all projects.

Health and safety leadership is visible at every level, with regular inspections, audits and active Director involvement driving continuous improvement. Our approach is backed by ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification, along with CHAS Elite, SSIP and BOPAS accreditation, and full alignment with Sisk Group’s industry-leading standards.

Community & Social Value

Building More Than Buildings

At Vision Built, we believe our responsibility extends far beyond the delivery of high‑quality offsite buildings. We are committed to making a positive, lasting contribution to the communities in which we operate—creating social, environmental and economic value alongside every project we deliver across Ireland and the UK.

Supporting Local Communities

We actively invest in the communities around our projects and manufacturing operations. Through tree‑planting initiatives, local sponsorships and community‑led projects, we support programmes that improve wellbeing, enhance local environments and leave a meaningful legacy. Our teams regularly participate in fundraising activities for local charities and causes, reinforcing our commitment to social responsibility at a grassroots level.

Education, Skills & Early Engagement

Developing future talent is central to our social value strategy. Vision Built works closely with schools, colleges and universities to promote careers in modern construction. This includes careers talks, school visits and hosting university students at our manufacturing facility in Ireland, where they gain first‑hand insight into industrialised construction, digital design and advanced manufacturing. By engaging early, we help inspire the next generation of engineers, designers and construction professionals.

Creating Local Employment & Economic Value

Wherever possible, we prioritise local employment, skills development and regional supply chains. Vision Built actively engages specialist local trades and suppliers to support project delivery, ensuring spend is retained within local economies. This approach not only supports project efficiency and quality but also creates sustainable employment opportunities and long‑term economic benefit for the communities we serve.

Aligned with UK Public Sector Social Value Requirements

Vision Built’s approach to social value is fully aligned with UK public sector procurement expectations, where social value typically accounts for a minimum of 10% of the overall tender evaluation score on new public sector projects. We embed social value at the earliest stages of project planning, ensuring our commitments are relevant, measurable and tailored to each client and community. Our social value initiatives are designed to support the UK Government’s Social Value Model, with a strong focus on skills, local growth, environmental sustainability and community wellbeing.

A Lasting Legacy

Through responsible procurement, community investment, education‑led initiatives and environmental stewardship, Vision Built delivers social value that endures long after project completion. It is an integral part of how we operate, how we partner with public sector clients, and how we help build stronger, more resilient communities for the future.
